Your complimentary first visit to your Weatherford & Granbury orthodontist is an exciting time for both parties. This will serve as a chance for us to get to know one another, familiarizing you with the doctor, team and treatments that we offer. At Epic Orthodontics, we strive to make your first visit more of a conversation, in which we learn more about you and your wants and needs.
A Look At Your First Visit
Your first visit to our office is complimentary and will last approximately one hour, so please plan on that in advance. This will ensure that we have plenty of time to ask and answer questions.
When you arrive to one of the offices, you can expect the following:
- Initial check-in on the iPad at the front desk
- Completion of patient history forms if you do not fill them out online beforehand
- A tour of the office with one of our team members
- Screening digital X-ray
- An introduction to Dr. Hall
Dr. Hall will carefully examine your teeth to see what, if any, issues are present. We may decide to take a set of photographs or even take an impression of your teeth. These would allow us to get a better look at what is going on and better diagnose the root of the problem. Dr. Hall may ask you a few diagnostic questions as well.
All of this information will allow Dr. Hall to determine which treatment options are best for the specific patient, how long he expects that treatment to take, and the cost of said treatment.
An Open Discussion of Treatment Options
After your exam with Dr. Hall, there’s a chance that no orthodontic treatment will be necessary. If this is not the case, Dr. Hall would then begin a conversation with you about suggested treatment options, whether treatment begins now, or at a later date. In some cases, we advise patients to begin treatment at a later date to keep your treatment as brief as possible. If this is the case we will likely recommend that you come back for periodic checkups until that time.
At this point, we really strive to have an open discussion in which patients and their loved ones ask questions about the process. We never want a patient to leave our office with unanswered questions! Your time is valuable – we give you as much of ours as it takes to be sure you are comfortable.
